CALGARY, May 15, 2007 – The First Annual Butch Harmon Calgary Golf Symposium will be held June 9th, 2007 at the Calgary Metropolitan Center from 1 pm to 4 pm and is open to the public. The event will have Mr. Harmon speak for 3 hours about his theories on the modern golf swing, demonstrate with a few of the attendees and relate his stories of working with PGA TOUR©. Butch Harmon

Butch Harmon has been involved in the golf arena for over 41 years. His father, Claude Harmon, a renowned club and teaching professional and 1948 Masters Champion, introduced him to the game.

Currently, Harmon is the President of Butch Harmon School of Golf in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he travels around the country playing in corporate and charity golf outings.

Harmon is a leading analyst for British Sky Broadcasting which covers the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and TOUR Championship. He was named the 1995 Sports Illustrated Teacher of the Year. Additionally Harmon has been a teaching instructor to several PGA TOUR pros, including Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Darren Clarke, Fred Couples, Adam Scott, Justin Leonard, and Mark Calcavecchia. Mr. Harmon's students have combined for over 100 PGA, European PGA and Champions Tour victories while under his tutelage.
